It was 1981 when "Kivilcim Music Store" entered the music sector in Ankara. While interested solely in building and saling at first, Kivilcim began wholesaling by the time. Following the year 1990, Kivilcim became one of the represantatives of many famous firms from all around the world. Today Kivilcim is the represantative of more than 30 world wide companies as well as giving the brands after sales servicing.

In 1984 Kivilcim began the production of power amplifiers, power mixers and cabinets with its own brand name.

Kivilcim Group has seven different music showrooms taking place in Istanbul and Ankara. These showrooms are specialised in sound and light systems, Turkish folk and traditional music instruments, percussions and popular music instruments.

For the year 2004 another showroom is planned to be established specialised in military instruments.
